pretty much awesome

There are a few things that I missed last time we read this book. I noticed things about the old man’s personality. He is very humble and easy going. The boat the boy is on now has a kind of mean captain. He won’t let anyone carry his things for him, and he is very proud.

As we are reading the Old Man and the Sea I notice a lot of things. I noticed the awkward way that the old man and the boy talk to eachother. I really like this book. This book reminds me of my grammy sort of. She is really old and I’m not that old and I hang out with her because all of her other grandkids are bums. This book talks about everything from baseball to Africa. I like it a lot so far.

I REALLY LIKE IT WHEN TEACHERS READ OUT LOUD. ITS SO MUCH BETTER THAN HAVING TO GO HOME TRY TO FIND A QUIET SPACE TO READ AT… I like it better when teachers read to me than just listening to a tape or something too. I dont know why, but I just do. When i was little my grandma always read to me and she was crazy, she did some wicked odd voices and sometimes it kind of scared me.

I am not sure how excited I am about writing a descriptive paragraph. I am not good at things like that….but i will try my best anyway…

I painted my room…its pink and green and i love it and it is striped, and its insaine!!!!

Today in class we read part of a story called Olaudah Equiano. We were supposed to read it and make connections to it. I had some trouble with this to start off, but then I started to think about it more and more, and finnaly they just started coming to me. Putting these together really helped me understand how intense this story is because of the things that we put it together with. Some people compared the slaves being cramped together with big sales at a store or with the hallways in school.

My favorite paragraph that I read was the one that Andrew found. He found it in a book called All but My Life. I read paragraph today in Mr.Sheehy’s class. I liked it because in the paragraph the man describes how he felt at ease, and how being in the cold reminded him of a winter day at home. The paragraph put me in a good mood.

I no longer felt the snow whip my face.I head the column marching on. I felt no rebellion no wild pounding of my heart. I just felt at peace. Oddly enough, I thought of a winters day at home and Scimute, my cat, bring her newborn kittens to warm them by the stove.

I read this paragraph in english class and i though it was better than mine.

Well, first of all i just want to say that I am bummed that my last blog got lost. I’m pretty good in english class, thats the only one that I ever pass. This class isn’t that boring. I like working with the computers and stuff. I dont really know what Im doing with blogs though. Thats pretty much it i guess.

o yes and i got in a car wreck last night…that does not make me giggle, and i do not love it.
